Davies Paints Philippines, Inc. started operations in 1982 under the name Charter Chemical & Coating Corp., setting up its first manufacturing plant and main office in Pasig City, Metro Manila.  In 1989, the company started distribution of marine paints and heavy-duty coatings in the Philippines under Maincoat, Inc. as appointed by world renowned Chugoku Marine Paint, Ltd., Japan's No. 1 marine paint company.  With a reputation for world-class quality, Davies Paints carries the distinction of being the partner of Chugoku Marine Paints.  Their shared values are the driving force behind their successful partnership and products.
